It’s hard to believe that the eclipse was already a year ago. It sure was a neat experience. I took this photograph at the end of the eclipse just as the first small edge of the chromosphere started to appear over the edge of the moon making a burst of light.
I took this photograph along the banks of the Little Zigzag stream in northern Oregon. The stream is fed by snow melt from nearby Mount Hood, and it runs through the bottom of a lush canyon. It is a beautiful green, quiet place.
