Fresh snowmelt in a high mountain stream. It’s interesting to think of the journey that this water will take on its way to the ocean and how much of the water will simply evaporate and return to the atmosphere along the way.
I love to spend an afternoon sitting and watching the waves break along the rocky pacific coast. The salty smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves, and the chance of seeing an occasional humpback whale or otter is hard to beat.
