This is a high magnification image that I took of a painted lady butterfly wing. The physics of how the surface of the butterfly wing works is still a bit puzzling to me. The intricate shapes and features of the wing are really interesting.
The tiny little translucent elements that make the wing are absolutely stunning. Thanks for capturing the beauty of nature at all scales for us to enjoy!
