We came across this awesome hummingbird on her nest yesterday. Although her tree hasn’t leafed out yet, she was quite well camouflaged with the surrounding bark. It’s nice to see spring starting.

That is amazing. I love the detail in the nest and the colors match the hummingbird. You could consider sending this to David Taylor – he did a quilt with a baby bird and a mother returning to the nest with a worm. He called it something like, Did you wash your face? Another was the rear end of a bulldog walking through a snowy field. Quilts are done with fabrics and threead and take a year to make.

I am so glad for your eagle eyes picking her out. It was awesome to see her so cozy on her nest. I am really looking forward to seeing babies in the nest!
