Sunday Nature Stills – 08/18/2019 – Michael Fuchs Photography

I took this photograph off the coast of the Monterey peninsula. This humpback whale was repeatedly breeching. It’s pretty amazing to watch. When the whale impacts the surface of the water it makes a booming sound that travels long distances.
