This little island (called Keopuka Rock) is located off of the northern coast of Maui. I think it is an interesting bit of volcanic geography. It’s a small island (only about 470 ft long), but with its abruptly protruding vertical rock walls, it has an interesting personality.
I look at it and it reminds me of a dolphin or shark dorsal fin. Very cool photo!

I think it’s amazing how sheer and vertical it is and how just as quickly the ocean recedes and gets deep again.
