The cloud forest of Kauai are pretty amazing.  Not only is the dense green forest beautiful, but the geography of steep forest covered cliffs divided by many waterfalls is spectacular.

I like how clear mountain streams can be.

I photographed these Dall Sheep in the subarctic Yukon.  These sheep have excellent eyesight, and it took a while for them to get used to me.  They are neat animals, and it’s seriously impressive how they maneuver on the face of rocky cliffs.

We often see animal tracks when we are out and about.  They are always interesting to study and try to figure out what the animal was up to at the time. These are from Black Bear, Racoon, and Mountain Lion.

 

I’ve always liked the super lush, green forests of the pacific northwest.  I’ve always liked the Olympic Peninsula, but I also like this area on the southwest side of Mount Saint Helens.  This particular forest was really neat because it had an open feel with a thick carpet of moss on the forest floor.  It was a very quiet place.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with this cool female Green Sea Turtle for quite a while.  I was out swimming alone (not smart by the way), and came across this awesome turtle.  She let me swim with her for a long time in this area of deep, super clear, water.  It was a neat experience.

There is such a cool abundance of variety in this world.  I love how different every place is.
