This is a male Baboon that I photographed out in the Serengeti. At the time, I thought he had an odd personality. He seemed more confident than the others. I was watching him, and he was watching me. He didn’t seem the least bit bothered and just sat there in the tall undergrowth slowly chewing on a grass stem.

Just one photo this week.
This is a mother Hawaiian Monk Seal and her very young pup on the North Shore of Oahu. Hawaiian monk seals are critically endangered, so it was pretty cool to see this little pup. The funny thing was that the pup was really fussy, was crying, and was making a ton of noise. The mother seemed really tired and grouchy. She kept trying to cover her head and sand. I think this picture really shows their relationship at the time.
