I’ve always liked the super lush, green forests of the pacific northwest. I’ve always liked the Olympic Peninsula, but I also like this area on the southwest side of Mount Saint Helens. This particular forest was really neat because it had an open feel with a thick carpet of moss on the forest floor. It was a very quiet place.

I still get kind of excited to think we might have heard a cougar while we were there; it was probably the most lovely ground covering I’ve ever walked on.
