I am photographing the world as I see it.  I want to share so that others may feel that the natural world is beautiful, fragile, and worth protecting.

I am a photographer and nature lover that is formally trained as an engineer.  I have always loved nature, wildlife, and travel. The natural world is a beautiful place, but it is also a changing place.  I am very passionate about nature conservation.  I hope to use my photography to show people the beauty of the natural world and help bring attention to the conservation challenges that are developing.

I take thousands of nature and wildlife images each year.  Since 2008, I have sent out a weekly photography distribution.  The main reason for my distribution is that I enjoy sharing my images with people, but I especially want to share my images if it inspires others or brings nature conservation awareness.

I do not specialize in specific natural environments. I enjoy the varied challenges of aerial, underwater, landscape, and wildlife in many climates. I photograph nature in all scales from microscopic to astrological.

I go to great lengths to minimize post-processing/image manipulation. I am always learning and growing in the art of photography, my images are not always technically perfect.  The presented images may have been cropped or have minimal contrast/level adjustment, but are otherwise unaltered.

  1. hello michael and yvonne …

your mother katy sent me a 2024 weekly calendar. you do great work! i have known katy essentially all my life. her dad gave me his old nikon F in the middle 1960’s when he acquired a new hasselblad! it’s all about getting out into nature, and photography is a way to recall it all. never as good as the human eye, and ours is rather poorly in the grand scheme of things! i wish you well in all of your travels …. i am envious! my best to the both of you. i live outside of denver now, and it would be such a pleasure to meet you both. someday ….
